What Should You Know About Photographing Pelican Hill?
The scale. A Pelican Hill corporate event photographer covers a property spread across 504 acres, not a single building, and the distance between spaces has to be built into the schedule.
The resort sits on an ocean-view bluff in Newport Coast with 16th-century Palladian architecture, roughly 23,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space, 204 bungalows, and 128 villas. Groups run from ten to three hundred.
That spread is the operational fact that matters. Mar Vista, the Golf Pavilion, and the main resort function spaces are not adjacent. A program that puts the general session in one and the reception in another needs transit time built into the run-of-show, or the photographer misses the opening of the second while shooting the close of the first.

Which Spaces Do You Cover at Pelican Hill?
Mar Vista and its ballroom, La Cappella, the Golf Pavilion, the ocean-view event lawn and Rotunda, plus the resort’s boardrooms and meeting rooms.
Mar Vista
A private event estate over 5,000 square feet with its own arrival area, comprising the Mar Vista Ballroom, La Cappella, the Event Lawn, and the Rotunda. Its own arrival means a separate load-in, which we plan for rather than discover.
La Cappella
Roughly 3,000 square feet with picture windows, a fireplace, and wood-beam ceilings. Natural light through those windows is excellent early and becomes a backlight problem by late afternoon.
Golf Pavilion
Over 7,000 square feet, up to 500 for a reception or 300 seated. The largest event space on the property and the one furthest from the main resort.
Ocean-View Lawn & Rotunda
The signature outdoor setting, with an oval lawn and Renaissance rotunda. Best used for portraits and reception rather than a seated program, for light reasons alone.

Build Transit Time Into the Run-of-Show
Mar Vista, the Golf Pavilion, and the main resort spaces sit far apart on 504 acres. A ten-minute gap between the close of one session and the start of another is not enough for a photographer to cover both ends.
Tell us which spaces you are using and in what order. Either we build the gap into the schedule or we staff a second photographer, but that decision gets made before the day rather than during it.

Yes. A portable studio sets up during scheduled downtime and each executive is in and out in minutes, with lighting consistent enough that the portraits sit side by side on a leadership page.
How quickly are images delivered?
